Goals
April 20, 2010
Goals are important to have, but more importantly is to set the right goals. Most focus on a defined endpoint, such as wanting to lose 50lbs. For most of us this sets us up for failure. Instead focus on a behavior that you can modify, such as no snacking, or night time eating. Yes these behaviors are difficult to modify, but they are only one activity, and therefore easier to focus on. Once achieved move on to the next goal. Why is this easier then wanting to lose 50lbs? Simple, think of the activities involved in losing 50 lbs, they are too numerous and overall too difficult to organize and carry out. By focusing on a behavior, 1 at a time, you will increase your ability to succeed and in the end lose your 50 lbs.
